A 3-story 98-year old brick building, built by American novelist Jack London. The roof structure unexpectedly collapsed causing the floors beneath to be crushed and the exterior unreinforced brick walls to bow out as much as 28 inches. The structure was deemed irreparable by the State and City engineers. The group of 5 owners invested in the building with the intention of remodeling it as a vehicle towards their retirement. We successfully removed all collapsed debris, returned he perimeter walls to plumb, and shored and braced the structure to ready condition for remodeling.
